Absolut Oz media luanch

Last night was the amazing media launch for Absolut Oz, a limited edition Australia bottle by Absolut Vodka in collaboration with world famous director Baz Luhrmann held at the Bucket List on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. 

The event had an Australian theme with guests served beverages from swimsuit wearing bartenders, hippies in caravans and an all Australian music set by the band and DJ. I performed on a stage in the main bar area titled Tama-Glama (a play on words from the famous Tamarama beach in Sydney), first lounging around in my gold bikini and aviators before slipping into a black and gold swarovski crystal catsuit and performing my contortion show for the guests and media.

Last night was the fabulous Rolex Sydney store opening in Sydney's Martin Place. The store looks incredible and some of the watches were to die for! The event was held up on the roof top terrace with champagne flowing and delicious canapés on offer, where tennis legend Rod Laver alongside Rolex Australia general manager Patrick Boutellier and LK Boutique CEO James Kennedy officially opened the store. 

I wore a Josh Goot bandage wrap dress, Kookai shoes and Saint Laurent clutch.

Tonight we farewell my beautiful friend Sarah Jane Coombe who is leaving the show and hanging up her Crystal Boudoir dancing shoes after seven amazing years. We have another sold out show this evening but standing tickets may still be available, so come down to GPO Sydney and help us give our wonderful friend the send off she deserves!

Tropfest 2013

I had a fun night last night at Tropfest held in Sydney's Centennial Park. It was my first time going to the worlds largest short film festival, and although it was a little chilly, it was a fun evening. I particularly liked the films Makeover and Bamboozled which went on to win the coveted award!

R.I.P. Great Aunt Roma Blair

It is with great sadness that I announce my incredible and inspirational Great Aunt Roma Blair has recently passed away. Roma was Australia's first female swami and was known as the 'mother of yoga' in Australia. Throughout her career Roma published six books on yoga, made two videos, four records, established yoga clubs, filmed yoga exercise shows for Channel Nine, featured in magazine lift-outs and wrote newspaper columns, and to top it off, Roma was also an established model.
I'm sure many people see similarities between Roma and I, and I have always felt a connection between us, both being models, being very flexible and sharing a love of all things leopard print!
Roma's life was not always television shows, social engagements and photo shoots, Roma was Australia's first proxy bride, she was captured in a Japanese prisoner of war camp where she remained a prisoner in Java for three years in which time she gave birth with no doctors, contracted dysentery and was so ill she would sometimes cough up worms.
Roma was an incredible woman and I urge you all to go out and get yourself a copy of her biography Roma: From Prison to Paradise.
R.I.P. Aunt Roma. You will be missed. xxx

The X Factor Australia

Last night I was very lucky to be asked to perform on The X Factor Australia alongside the lovely Jiordan Tolli in a circus themed rendition of No Doubt's hit song Don't Speak. 

I arrived around midday and headed straight in to hair and makeup with my wonderful friends makeup wiz Martin Bray and the fabulous Lores Giglio on hair. Martin created a Dior inspired clown look for my makeup complete with tiny swarovski crystals and black glitter eyes. My hair was crimped and sprayed black and accessorised with a large disc shaped hair piece decorated with glitter and a large crystal in the centre. 

After hair and makeup I headed out to the set for a quick rehearsal and camera test before the big live show that evening. I performed contortion on a small yellow and white podium at the front of the stage whilst various characters roamed around the stage behind me. Some dressed as fabulous sequinned clowns, ring masters and hula hoopists. The show was once again choreographed by the wonderful Squared Division.
